These are very good PC boards for building electronic projects. The copper side should be cleaned lightly with alcohol or with a PC board cleaning product to make sure solder connections are secure. Don't use emery paper or very fine grit sand paper to clean the copper side. You might remove the very small amounts of copper around each hole! I use a temperature controlled soldering station with a fine tip. If you don't have a temperature controlled solder unit i strongly suggest your purchase a good one. Using a modern soldering station will move you out of the 1920's. You will feel like a professional. I use a heat range of 540 - 545 degrees Fahrenheit; (281 degrees Centigrade). That temperature range works well for most through holed parts. Use caution when soldering Transistors, JFET's or other sensitive parts. Use enough heat to make the joint. Heat on sensitive parts will destroy them. I have used many PC boards from this Supplier without any problems. CF
